When I Grow Up by The Association of Irish Musical Societies feat. Shane Filan & Grace Lee, in aid of The Children's Medical Research Foundation, Crumlin and The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, available globally on iTunes, Google Play and all digital stores now and on CD exclusively from HMV & Xtra-Vision in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Recorded in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre and featuring a chorus of over 2,000 voices from AIMS, the Association of Irish Musical Societies, this is the largest ensemble choir ever gathered together for a charity single in Irish chart history.

Our Matilda is ten year old Grace Lee from the Isle of Man who, in her short life, has had ten heart procedures for Congenital Heart Disease and suffers from Chronic Lung Disease. Her Mum, Kara Lee, said it's a miracle she sings so well. Grace was chosen because she is a wonderful singer and performer, having already performed as Matilda with the Matilda West End cast thanks to ITV's Surprise Surprise television show, and because she epitomises everything that the song stands for, courage, resilience and, above all else, hope.

The recording also features former Westlife star, Shane Filan. Shane has sold over forty-five million records worldwide as a member of pop sensations Westlife. These include fourteen No. 1 singles in the UK. He is delighted to have been asked to sing on ‘When I Grow Up’ in aid of the Children's Medical Research Foundation, Crumlin and the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

Nolan's Seafoods sponsored the production of the physical CD and the associated costs associated with its recording, and thanks to their generosity, even more money from the sale of the song will go to help sick children all over the island of Ireland.

The recording is dedicated to the memory of Jack Lam from Castlebar in Co. Mayo who died in
November 2013 from complications arising from his treatment for childhood cancer, Neuroblastoma.

Some interesting Chart Facts.

XFactor has held the Irish Christmas No.1 title every year since 2006.

The last time there was an Irish produced Christmas No.1 was in 2005 with Gift Grub's 'Leave Right
Now'.

The last time a Charity Single took the Christmas No.1 spot was in 2004 with the 20th Anniversary rerelease of 'Do They Know It's Christmas'.

It has been a quarter of a century since an Irish Charity Single took the Christmas No.1 spot and that was Zig and Zag's appropriately named 'Christmas No.1' in 1990. The beneficiary back then was also The Children's Medical Research Foundation.
