Ice MC原名（Ian Campbell）坎贝尔的父母都是来自牙买加，
他在高中的时候，他的英文缩写IC很快得到了他一个绰号ICE（最近，他的解释是作为坎贝尔君子） 。
1983年，他加入了一个霹雳队，开始与他们的欧洲巡回演出。Ice MC的第三张专辑，Ice'n'Green,1994年与Alexia创作完成。
